Uranium Exploration & In-situ Recovery
Pre-Conference Workshop - Tuesday 06 Oct
Sponsored by Department for Energy and Mining
The uranium industry is growing.
The technical workforce needs to grow with it.

Join us ahead of the Global Uranium Conference 2026 to hear from industry leaders in uranium exploration, in-situ recovery, hydrogeology and metallurgy for a full-day workshop covering an integrated introduction to uranium exploration, hydrogeology and surface recovery of uranium by ISR.
Gain an understanding of common pitfalls made when calculating uranium grades and mistakes to avoid during the initial Greenfields uranium exploration phase. This will then lead into the innovative ISR extraction method, wellfield design and development, processing and uranium recoveries, project development and Feasibility metrics, using case studies to promote best practices and industry excellence.

Who should attend?
• Junior Explorers
• Mining Company Professionals
• Investors/Brokers
• Engineers and professionals from geology, hydrogeology, minerals
processing, project development, environment, operations and
maintenance
• Consultants and Academics
• Students and new entrants to the sector.
Date: Tuesday 06 October
Time: 8 am for an 8:30am start
Location: South Australia Drill Core Library

Post-Conference Workshop - Friday 09 Oct
Uranium in Hard-Rock Environments
Uranium mining is possible in a range of different environments.
The Question is: Do you know what to look for & how to find them?
We continue the fundamentals of uranium exploration, focusing solely on hard-rock uranium deposits such as Olympic Dam. Presented by Educate-U in collaboration with the Department of Energy and Mining.
Join us on Friday after the GUC for a day of practical geology and exploration techniques with real-life examples in drill core and mineral boards at the Tonsley Core Library.
